Its about Combi boiler storage space saving benefits

If you are about to set up a new heating boiler you should look at a combination gas boiler if you have a shortage of space. It is possible to install a full central heating and hot water system by buying only a gas powered combination boiler with a balanced flue. With the addition of copper pipe to transfer the hot water to the radiators to heat your house you will be complete. Many people might enquire whether some parts had been missed from this system. Isn't it true that most systems seem to need a feed and expansion tank in the attic, a water pump to transfer the hot water around and a storage tank to keep hot water when not called for.

If you have a modern combination gas boiler it will not require any of these additional component parts. With a combi you can dispense with the hot water storage tank, room in the loft can be saved by leaving out the feed and enlargement cylinder, the combination boiler also incorporates the other petite pieces. So you can see with a combination boiler you can save a significant amount of space within your home.

Combination boilers are not a new gas boiler design. The combination has been more popular in the Continent than in the U.K., but is now being installed more frequently as an alternative to the traditional wall mounted boiler.  There are two major divergences between this form of boiler and its better known options. A fully sealed system contains the circulating hot water for the central heating. This means that there is no need for a feed and expansion tank in the loft. A second gain is getting rid of the requirement for the hot water storage tank as the heating boiler stocks its own hot water.

Domestic hot water is created as required, this is signalled when you switch on a tap. The hot water is created by the use of a highly economical internal heat exchanger. Water from the sealed central heating circuit is heated and is diverted to the hot water heat exchanger heating it up. On the other side of the heat exchanger cold mains water is heated before finishing its journey to the hot water valve.

Hot water provision to the radiators is a lower importance than the production of instantaneous hot water for the house. Once the valve is shut and the need for hot water is eliminated the system will return to supplying hot water to the radiators.

If you do have a space issue in your dwelling house you should give critical consideration to installing a combi heating boiler when you next replace your boiler.
